Brandy weighs in at less than two pounds and measures only 6 inches long. The Associated Press claims her owner, Paulette Keller, won’t let little Brandy on furniture because of the danger of injury should she decide to leap off on her own. Dog Bite Report At Williams Sisters Home

www.DogExplorer.com News — Tennis playing superstars Venus and Serena Williams had their home visited by police in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, in response to a report of a dog bite. Details are sketchy as we publish but it appears a security guard was bitten by an unidentified dog late on the evening of December 1, 2006. Published reports indicate the bite was not severe and the guard was not hospitalized. Serena Williams is known to be a dog lover with a Parson Russell Terrier (previously known as Jack Russell Terriers) called Jackie and a Pit Bull (American Staffordshire Terrier) named Bambi. Despite the increasing popularity of dogs as pets among younger and affluent Korean citizens of larger cities, the dog is still bred and raised for meat to be consumed by humans in many parts of the country. Capital of China Issues New One Dog Policy In Beijing

www.DogExplorer.com News — The official Xinhua news agency is reporting that residents of Beijing will now face a limit on the number of dogs in their households similar to that imposed on parents in China. In the case of dog owners, the stated reason is to prevent the spread of rabies. The order maps out nine separate regions within the Chinese Capital where the new rules will take effect. Each household will be limited to a single dog and owners of dogs that have not been registered with authorities are subject to legal penalties. While not defined, so-called “dangerous and large dogs” will be banned under the new rules, according to Xinhua. The regulations require all dogs in the effected areas to be inoculated “regularly.” In areas outside the metro Beijing zones large and dangerous dogs will be allowed...
