According to wire service reports, Bob Schwartz, the man credited with authoring a new law making owners of dangerous dogs potentially liable to felony criminal charges, was attacked and injured so severely by his own dogs that he has been hospitalized.
The published reports indicate that Schwartz, who is New Mexico Governor Bill Richardson’s crime advisor, suffered bites on both arms but that his prognosis for recovery looked good.
The Associated Press is reporting that Schwartz has three dogs: a boxer and two English bulldogs. No information is available about which of the dogs were involved in the attack.
