A dozen canine mediums or psychics have been hired by the owner of Vivi to help locate the missing Whippet, according to the online edition of London’s Daily Telegraph. The dog has been on the loose since escaping from its crate while preparing to board a flight from New York’s John F. Kennedy Airport (JFK) to Los Angeles on February 15, 2006.

The plight of this slender show dog has attracted international attention. She was in New York to compete in the Westminster Dog Show at Madison Square Garden. In addition to typical concerns about the dog’s welfare, the whippet’s lack of a warming coat and the cold seasonal temperatures pose a significant threat to the safety of Vivi whose full name is Champion Bohem C’est La Vie.

Other media reports say she was chipped and wearing a black sweater and collar when transferred to Delta Airlines for flight to Los Angeles. Vivi is reportedly valued at $125,000.00 and capable of hitting speeds of 25 miles per hour.
