FAQ - How To Upload Your Dog Pictures

Instructions for posting your dog pictures:

First, you must register (click that word "register," it is free and you won't get spammed!)

NOTE: The "Register," "Login" and "Upload file" links are near the top of every page in the dog photo gallery. However, if you are not logged-in you will not see the "Upload file" link. If you are logged in you won't see the "Register" and "Login" links since you are already registered and logged in. Pretty logical, isn't it?

Second, you will get confirmation e-mail at the address you used to sign-up. You must confirm your address before you can use the gallery. This protects all of us from spammers (see, we don't like spammers either.) Confirming your e-mail address requires you to click a link in the e-mail sent to you. This proves to us that you are you.

Third, once you have confirmed your registration, go to the "Login" page and Login with your user name and password.

Fourth, prepare your pictures for upload. Here is an important detail: Please be sure your pictures are saved as either jpg (or jpeg), gif, png or bmp files, AND that their size, per file, is no greater than 100 kb. That’s big enough for a clean picture that's 6 inches in the long dimension at 72 dpi (which is the setting you should use).

Fifth, while logged-in, click that "Upload file" link. Click the "Browse" button on that page to find the picture on your computer. Once you find the picture, either double click its name or click once and then the "Open" button.

When you have finished selecting the picture or pictures you want to upload, click the "CONTINUE" button at the bottom of that page. If your file was the correct size then you will see a page that says "uploads successful" and it will automatically take you to the next step or you can hit the "CONTINUE" button.

This next step is VERY IMPORTANT.
You will be shown a page with this text: "Please place the files in albums at this time. You may also enter relevant information about each file now."

The first line below that will say "Album" (on the far left) and there will be a drop down box with the words "(Dog Breed Pictures) Affenpinscher.

PLEASE: Click the little down arrow on the right side of the drop down box and scroll down until you find the CORRECT ALBUM FOR YOUR PICTURE. Click that once.

This is critical if you want your dog's picture placed in the Central Park Pack album, you must select that album (or the correct one for your image) and must be done for each picture you upload! Then just fill out the rest of the caption information and hit the "CONTINUE" button and you are done!

Please take the time to see our breed list and use that data field in the caption. If you have a mutt just put "Mixed Breed."

Tell your friends to check out your pooch, rate your pictures (you can rate others too!) and have some fun. Trust us, it is easier than this looks and gets to be a snap after the first time.
