A funny new horse picture website has been launched by the folks here at DogExplorer.com – we thought you should be warned. Wanted: Horse Tricks and Funny Horse Pics Videos too, but I’m gett’n ahead of m’self. We just pulled the trigger on a brand spank’n new site we hope will provide some fun and enrichment for you and your horse. The notion in our noggin is that horses can be taught tricks, which, while unnecessary in the big scheme of things when there’s bills to pay, stalls to clean, and shoes to buy (Manolo Blahniks or Ariats), they’d be more fun to demonstrate to greenhorns than the invention of a combination automatic stall-cleaner and hoof pick. Medellin, Colombia-based Heroin Traffickers Used Puppies to Smuggle Drugs Says DEA February 2, 2006, according to a press release issued by the Drug Enforcement Administration’s (DEA) New York Field Division, Special Agent-in-Charge, John P. Gilbride announced the arrests of 22 Colombian nationals who the agency claims were responsible for smuggling over 20 kilograms of heroin into the United States. The Colombian organization used varied and unique concealment methods. Human couriers, termed “swallowers”, ingested the heroin packets for transporting. Animal couriers were pure-bred puppies that had heroin packets surgically implanted in them. In one instance, six puppies were found impregnated with a total of three kilograms of liquid heroin packets. “The organization’s outrageous and heinous smuggling method of implanting heroin inside puppies is a true indication of the extent that drug dealers go to make their profit,” said Gilbride. “This...

Aflatoxin Poisoned Diamond Dog Food Product Recall

In a press release issued January 10, 2006, Diamond Pet Foods has updated and narrowed the list of aflatoxin poisoned dog food “Best By” dates. According to Diamond Pet Foods, “Testing of more than 2,700 finished product samples conducted by independent laboratories confirms that only Diamond Maintenance Dog and Diamond Premium Adult Dog with “Best By” dates of April 3, April 4, April 5 and April 11, 2007 are potentially toxic. Test results for all other products have not been toxic. Additionally Chicken Soup for the Pet Lover’s Soul and Premium Edge brands have been tested and are negative for aflatoxin.” In the same press release, Mark Brinkmann, chief operations officer of Diamond Pet Foods stressed that products included in the original voluntary recall should be returned to retailers.
